Joe Nix

Services for Joe E. Nix, 80, of Winnfield were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in
Baptist Church with the Rev. Norris Curry officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home
of Winnfield.

Mr. Nix died Thursday, January 31, 1980 in the local hospital after a short
illness.

Survivors include a son, Rayford Nix of Las Alamos, N. M.; two step sons,
Charles Bailey of Detroit, Mich., and Brant Bailey of Houston; two 
stepdaughters, Mrs. Kathryn Lebare of New Orleans and Mrs. Mildred Edwards of
Huntington, Texas; two brothers, Ralph Nix of Winnfield and Sidney Nix of
Montgomery; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
