L. L. Nix, 74, Dies After Long Illness

Lonnie L. Nix, 74, of Winnfield, died at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday, January 11, 1977
in a local hospital after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Southern Funeral
Home here with the Rev. Glen Griffin officiating.

Burial will be in Couley Cemetery near Winnfield.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Berta nix of Winnfield; one son, Maurice Nix
of Winnfield; four brothers, Ralph Nix of Winnfield, Joe Nix and Jessie Nix,
both of Natchitoches, and Sidney Nix of Montgomery; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy
King of New Orleans; and two grandchildren.
