Miss Pyburn, 65, Winn Native, Buried In Ruston Oct. 12

Miss Nita Kathrine Pyburn, 65, died Monday in Tallahassee, Fla., after a long
illness.  Funeral rites were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in Ruston.  Burial was
in the Greenwood Cemetery, Ruston.

Miss Pyburn was a native of the Gansville Community, Winn Parish, and has been
a teacher at Florida State University the past 30 years.  She earned her
degree at LSU and the University of North Carolina.

Survivors include four brothers, Dewitt Pyburn of Baton Rouge, Wight Pyburn of
Shreveport, Hiram Pyburn of Ruston, and Keith Pyburn of Washington, D. C.; two
sisters, Helen Pyburn of Hammond and Mary Sue Pyburn of Baltimore, Md.
