W. Nelson, Ruston Brother of S. S. Nelson and Mrs. Joe Emerson Dies Suddenly Following a short illness with double pneumonia, R. W. Nelson, 36 years of age, of Ruston, died at the Baptist Sanitarium, Alexandria, September the 17th at 1:30 p.m. Funeral services were conducted in Ruston Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First Methodist Church, with the Rev. Vaughan in charge. Interment was in the Ruston Cemetery. Mr. Nelson was a brother of Mrs. Joe Emerson and Mr. S. S. Nelson of Winnfield. He had been in ill health when his death occurred. Others surviving the deceased are his mother, Mrs. W. T. Nelson, of Ruston; a brother, S. H. Nelson of Decatur, Ill.; and sisters, Mrs. E. C. Aiken of Ft. Smith, Ark.; Mrs. T. K. Stewart of Washington, D. C.; and Miss Ida Lou Nelson of Stephenville, Texas. Attending the last rites from Winnfield were Mr. and Mrs. S. S. Nelson and son, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Emerson and children, Mrs. John Emerson and Mrs. Naomi Crawford.
