Noah, 79, Succumbs After Long Illness William Franklin Noah, 79, died at 5 a.m. Monday in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Luther Booth, the Rev. W. L. Holcomb, the Rev. Waynon Mott, and the Rev. P. M. Caraway of Pineville officiating. Burial was in the Winnfield Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons of the deceased: Robert, Buford, and Bill Kelley; Louis Temple, Jr. of Crossett, Ark.; Tech Sgt. Morris Burkhart of Wichita Falls, Texas; and J. R. Harrison. A building contractor, Mr. Noah had been a resident of Winnfield since 1930. He was widely known for his jovial disposition. He was a member of the First Metodist Church. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Odessa Noah; three sons, W. R. Noah of Natchitoches, Elmer Noah of Bastrop, and Jack Noah of Portland, Ore.; four daughters, Mrs. G. H. Kelley, Mrs. Gladys Boyett, Mrs. Louis Temple, and Miss Osenia Noah, all of Winnfield; one sister, Mrs. Belle Honeycutt of Shreveport; two half sisters, six half brothers, 16 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.
