Nugent, 64, who died at her home in Winnfield early Saturday, July 30, 1960 were conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at the First Methodist Church, with Rev. Flurry of Alexandria officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were Tracy Harrel, Tommy Harrel, John Wroten, Bob Reihhard, Eddie Powell, Harper Terrill, Frank Shaw, all of Winnfield and Curry Ford of Leesville. Mrs. Nugent was born at St. Maurice, but lived most of her life in Winnfield. She had been active in religious and civic affairs until ill health forced her retirement. She was a member of the Readers Review Club, the Winnfield Garden Club, and the First Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Leslie Hill of Dallas, Texas and Mrs. J. L. Shevnin of New Orleans; her mother, Mrs. J. W. Teddlie of Winnfield; two sisters, Miss Lowice Teddlie of Winnfield and Mrs. A. M. Davis of Baton Rouge; a brother, John W. Teddlie of Winnfield and six grandchildren. Among the out of town relatives and friends attending the last rites for Mrs. Nugent here Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Curry Ford, Mr. and Mrs. S. M. Spellers, and Mrs. Tommy Cleveland, of Leesville; Mrs. Lola Cappell, Mrs. Lela Higdon, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Shevnin and son of Alexandria; Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Davis, Mr. and Mrs. Bonita Cockfield, Miss Ruby Teddlie, Mr. Jessie Nugent of Baton Rouge; Mrs. Allen Ragan and Miss Frances Arledge of Clarence; Mrs. Van Woodard of Natchitoches; Misses Marguerite and Kathleen Teddlie of Montgomery; Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Hill of Dallas, Texas; Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Shevnin and children of New Orleans; Mrs. Lloyd Warren of Pine Bluff, Ark.
