Last Rites For Mrs. A. Nugent Conducted July 8

Mrs. Adla Nugent, 80, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Orie Jordan,
512 Elliott Street at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 6, after a long illness.

She was a native of Alabama.

Funeral services were conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Southern Funeral
Home Chapel with Rev. D. L. Callendar and Rev. T. E. Williams officiating. 
Burial was in Shamrock Cemetery near Robeline under direction of Southern
Funeral Home.

Survivors include one son, James Nugent of Robeline; three daughters, Mrs.
Ida Bell Herrod of Shreveport, Mrs. Orie Jordan of Winnfield, and Mrs.
J. W. Sams of Emmett, Ark.; 16 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

(The spelling of this lady's last name in the actual newspaper obituary was
NEUGENT, however, I took the liberty to use the local spelling of NUGENT,
which might very well be correct, or might very well be incorrect.)
