Brother of Albert Nugent Succumbs In Alexandria

Clarence E. Nugent, 66, of Paradise, La., died in the Baptist hospital
Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1947, at 10:30 a.m.  He is survived by his mother, Mrs.
Julia Long Nugent, his wife, Mrs. Christine Nugent, one son, Howard E. Nugent,
of Lake Charles, two daughters, Mrs. Audrey Spurlock, of Paradise, and
Mrs. Inez Phillips, of New Orleans; three brothers, J. M. Nugent of Baton
Rouge, Ollie Nugent of Ferriday, and Albert Nugent, of Winnfield; three
sisters, Mrs. Annie Bocock, Pineville, Mrs. Lola Cappel, Alexandria, and Mrs.
Lelia Higdon of Washington, D. C., and three grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, 1947 in the Palestine
Methodist Church with Rev. J. B. McCann officiating.  Interment was in the
Greenwood Memorial Park.
