Afternoon Well Known and Beloved Woman Dies Tuesday Morning Funeral services for Mrs. John T. Odom, 74 years of age, who died at her home at Tullos, Route One, Tuesday morning, May 28, 1935, were held at Douglas, Lincoln Parish, Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Dr. B. C. Land, pastor Winnfield Baptist Church was in charge, assisted by Rev. J. R. Edwards of Ruston. Interment was in the Douglas Cemetery. Mrs. Odom was born and reared in Lincoln Parish. She was first married to a Mr. Brittain. In later years she was married to John T. Odom of this parish. Mrs. Odom was a member of the Beech Creek. She was well known in this parish and held in high esteem by all who knew her. She had been in ill health for a number of years. Surviving are her husband, John T. Odom; two sons, George Brittain of Monroe and L. H. Brittain of Shreveport; and seven stepsons, W. A. Odom, Edcouch, Texas; Miss Minnie Lee Odom and J. C. Odom, Natchitoches; C. L. Odom, Shreveport; Miss Eunice Odom, Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. G. W. Harper, Monroe, and Mrs. Wirt Parker, Winnfield.
