Son of Mrs. J. R. Gorham Dies In Car Accident

Donald L. Oehler, 30, an employee of Gay Sockrider's Industrial Company, Lake
Charles, died in a car accident on the Prien Lake Road, near Lake Charles
Saturday night, Feb. 13.  He was driving a pick up truck carrying a huge water
pump and electric motor, not blocked in and it was reported that he lost
control of the truck.

Mr. Oehler was the son of Mrs. John Robert Gorham of Winnfield.  He is
survived by his wife, Mrs. Juanita Hooper Oehler and two children, Donnie and
Rebecca, all of Lake Charles; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Robert Gorham,
Winnfield; a sister, Mrs. Jerry Freeman, Ft. Worth, Texas; a brother, Robert
Oehler, Jennings, La.; two step brothers and one step sister.

Funeral services were conducted Monday at 2 p.m. at Hixson Brothers chapel in
Lake Charles with burial in Memorial Cemetery, Lake Charles.

A native of Jennings, the deceased resided in Winnfield a number of years ago.
