W. Oglesby Is Victim of Spinal Meningitis Funeral services for Stennis Oglesby, 24, year old son of Judge and Mrs. R. W. Oglesby, who died Tuesday, January 7, were held at the Winnfield Cemetery Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. C. C. Wier, pastor of the First Methodist Church was in charge of the services. Stennis died after an illness of about ten days of spinal meningitis. He was born in Winnfield December 29, 1905, being the second son of his parents who had come here from Tennessee soon after their marriage. His parents are members of two of the oldest and most prominent families of Bolivar and Obion, Tenn., and Judge Oglesby served as judge of this district and is prominent in all civic, religious and political affairs of this section. Stennis was a member of the First Methodist Church. He attended school at Centenary College, Shreveport, L. P. I., Ruston, and L. S. U., Baton Rouge, after graduating from the Morgan School, Petersburg, Tenn. He is survived by his parents, Judge and Mrs. R. W. Oglesby, one brother, Jack; three sisters, Misses Elizabeth, Alice Stuart, and Dorothy Oglesby.
