Last Rites At Verda Today for Herman S. Oglesby, 29, of Verda

Funeral services for Herman S. Oglesby, 29, of Verda, were held at the Verda
Baptist Church at 2:30 p.m. today, with the Rev. Mose Mercer officiating. 
Burial was in the Verda Cemetery under direction of Hixson Brothers.

Mr. Oglesby died at the home of his parents in Verda Monday, December 13,
after an illness of three months.

Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. I. Oglesby, Verda; his widow, Mrs.
Marie Oglesby, Verda; two sons, Dale and Darrel, Verda; four brothers,
Thurmond, Harmon, and Sherman, of Verda, and Leslie of the U. S. Navy; five
sisters, Mrs. Jack Green and Mrs. Albert King of Alexandria; Mrs. Casey James
and Miss Maxine Oglesby of Verda; and Mrs. Johnny Murry of Pleasant Hill.
