Oliver, 58, retired South american sawmill man, who had been living on a small farm at Haughton, La., since 1932, died at Schumpert sanitarium yesterday afternoon. He was secretary-treasurer of the Bossier Rural Electric corporation and was a member of the Haughton Baptist church and the Masonic lodge. He was born in Natchitoches parish. In addition to his wife, Mrs. Ella Kornigue Oliver, he is survived by a son, Richard Carl Oliver, Haughton; three daughters, Misses Erna Louise Oliver and Nadine Edith Oliver, Haughton, and Mrs. A. J. Robinson, Dubberly; four sisters, Mrs. Sally E. Moore, Packton; Mrs. W. U. Drewett and Mrs. C. I. Row, Winnfield, and Mrs E. L. Brock, Shreveport, and C. O. Oliver, Mansfield. Funeral services will be conducted at Haughton Baptist Church at 3 p.m. today, followed by burial in Forest Park cemetery. The Rev. T. C. Pennell, pastor of Ingleside Baptist church of Shreveport, and the Rev. Hartsfield of Haughton will be in charge of services.
