Former Winn Resident Dies In Shreveport

Mrs. Lela Kelly Oliver of Flournoy-Lucas Road, Shreveport, La., died Friday at
7:08 p.m. October 13, 1972 at the Willis-Knighton Hospital after a brief
illness.

Mrs. Oliver was 77 years of age, was born in Winn Parish, having lived in the
Montgomery, Hargis, and Verda areas until 36 years ago when she went to
Shreveport, living there until her death.  She was the daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. John Kelly and has many friends and relatives in Winn and Grant
Parishes.  She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Rose-Neath
Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Gibson, pastor of Parkview Baptist Church and
the Rev. A. R. Moore, pastor of Mildred Crowe Memorial Baptist Church,
officiating.  Burial was in Centuries Memorial Park.

Survivors include two brothers, Obie L. Kelly and Bryant L. Kelly; one sister,
Mrs. B. D. (Wilma Kelly) Weaver, all of Shreveport, La.
