All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://usgwarchives.net/la/lafiles.htm ********************************************** From: July 28, 1950 Winnfield News-American Funeral Services For Mrs. O'Malley Conducted Tuesday Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Mae O'Malley, 66, of Wyatt, formerly a resident of Winnfield, were held at the Winnfield First Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 25, with the Rev. A. A. McKnight of Jonesboro officiating, assisted by Rev. P. M. Caraway and Rev. Alwin Stokes. Interment was in the Winnfield Cemetery under direction of Hixson Funeral Home. Mrs. O'Malley died in a local hospital Sunday, July 23, after a lengthy illness. Her body lay in state at Hixson Funeral Chapel until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. Mrs. O'Malley, the former Miss Annie Mae Pine, was born in Clark County, Alabama, November 19, 1883, and had made her home in Louisiana for many years. Her husband, Clint O'Malley, former Winnfield town marshal and Alexandria Chief of Police, preceded her in death five years ago. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are two brothers, David Pine of Wyatt and L. F. Pine of Grayson, and one sister, Mrs. Ollie Hearn of Jonesboro. Pallbearers were Archie Pine, Laurie Pine, Howard Hearn, Mack Hearn, Fletcher Rogers, and Theo G. Kelley.
