Mother of Mrs. Murray Duncan Succumbs Here

Mrs. W. J. Orr, 87, died in a Winnfield hospital at 7 p.m. February 9, 1962. 
She resided with her daughter, Mrs. Murray Duncan, Winnfield, and was a former
resident of Cheneyville, La.

She is survived by one son, J. C. Orr, San Diego, Calif.; three daughters,
Mrs. Murray Duncan, Winnfield, Mrs. J. L. Brewton, Shreveport, and Mrs. O. C.
Putcien, Bend, Ore.; a brother, Oliver Barr, Ruston; five  grandchildren, six
great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the First Baptist Church, Winnfield, at 1:30
p.m. Sunday with Dr. W. L. Holcomb officiating.  Burial was in the Beulah
Baptist Cemetery at Cheneyville under Hixson Bros.

Acting as pallbearers were Melton Hightower, L. L. Brewton, George Brewton, J.
G. Russell, Dudley Shell, and Clyde Bryant.
