J. O. Dumas officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Alexandria under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield. Mr. Lang, 72, died early Thursday morning, April 6, 1972 in the Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas, following a long illness. He was a member of the Montgomery Democratic Executive Committee for 40 years. At the time of his death he was serving his 38th year on the town council. He was on the State Mineral Board for a four year term, served with the Louisiana Forestry Commission, was a board member for the 8th District Department of Highways for four years and was serving on the State Unemployment Security Board. He was also chairman of the board of the Bank of Montgomery. He has been mentioned in Who's Who in the South and Southwest and was in business in Montgomery for 42 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Oscar Ross Lang; a son, Paul E. Lang of Montgomery; two brothers, R. B. Lang and Otho A. Lang, both of Montgomery; two sisters, Mrs. Avis Fletcher of Colfax and Mrs. Edna Fletcher of Montgomery; and a granddaughter, Tiana Marie Lang of Houston, Texas.
