Walter Otts Killed; To Be Buried At Sanders Chapel

Funeral services for Walter Otts, about 33 years of age, who was shot and
killed by a man as he was getting out of his car Tuesday at 6 a.m. in Odessa,
Texas, will be held at the Sanders Chapel Church at 10 a.m. Friday.

No details of the shooting were available.  It was said that Mr. Otts was
going to work when the shooting occurred.

Mr. Otts lived most of his life in Dry Prong, but worked around Winnfield
quite a bit.  He is the nephew of Mrs. Addie Franks and Mrs. Dennis McNaughton
of the Sanders Chapel Community and of Mrs. J. P. Allen of Jonesboro.

He also leaves his wife and three children of Odessa, Texas; his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. Loyd Otts, Dry Prong; brother, Billy Otts, Hodge; and sister, Mrs.
Linnie Fredericks, of Hobbs, N.M. and two uncles, Julian and Jewel Oliver of
Delhi.
