William A. Owens of Atlanta Dies At Age of 93

William A. Owens, 93, retired farmer of near Atlanta, died Friday, August 28,
1959 in a Pineville hospital after a long illness.  Funeral services were held
at 2 p.m. Saturday from Southern Funeral Home chapel, with Rev. W. L. Holcomb
in charge.

Burial was in Antioch Cemetery.  Acting as pallbearers were I. G. Richmond,
Howard Sowers, Fletcher Melton, W. E. Walker, Marshall Driggers, and Gus
Gresham.

Survivors include three sons, John Owens of Winnfield, Clarence of Jena, and
Calvin of Taylor, La.; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Phillips of Bryceland and
Mrs. Ida Stone of Jena; and 18 grandchildren.
