Former Gaars Mill Resident Dies In Ruston

Mrs. Cassie Presnell passed away in Ruston on Thursday, April 12, 1973, after
a lengthy illness.  She was reared in the Gaars Mill Community, the daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Kelly.

Funeral services were in the chapel of Spears Funeral Home in Ruston. 
Interment was in the Simmsboro Cemetery.

Mrs. Presnell was married to Mr. Cliff Presnell of Simmsboro, who survives;
also surviving are three children, J. C. Presnell of Monroe; Verlon Presnell
of Birmingham, Ala., and Mrs. Margie McDuffie of Monroe; five brothers, Ross
Kelly, Pineville, Rushel Kelly of Dodson, Troy Lee Kelly of Gaars Mill, and
Rogers Kelly of Phoenix, Ariz.; and three sisters, Mrs. Elvis Vassaur of
Dimmitt, Texas, Mrs. Etta Wilkerson of Hodge, and Mrs. Estelle Gorham of
Joyce; and nine grandchildren.
