The Pughs were early residents of Atlanta, La. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Cotton Valley Methodist Church with the Rev. W. O. Lynch, the Rev. M. J. Murrell, and the Rev. W. J. Hunter officiating. Burial was in the Cotton Valley Cemetery. Survivors include a son, Byron H. Pugh of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs. Claude Crow of Cotton Valley, Mrs. Shirley Jackson of Winnfield, and Mrs. Johnny Daffons of Alexandria; a sister, Mrs. W. A. Fletcher of Elton; eight grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
