Mother of Mrs. Shirley Jackson Succumbs Oct. 11

Mrs. Edna Pugh, 82, widow of the late Dr. Pugh, of Cotton Valley, died Sunday
at her home.  The Pughs were early residents of Atlanta, La.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Cotton Valley Methodist
Church with the Rev. W. O. Lynch, the Rev. M. J. Murrell, and the Rev. W. J.
Hunter officiating.  Burial was in the Cotton Valley Cemetery.

Survivors include a son, Byron H. Pugh of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs.
Claude Crow of Cotton Valley, Mrs. Shirley Jackson of Winnfield, and Mrs.
Johnny Daffons of Alexandria; a sister, Mrs. W. A. Fletcher of Elton; eight
grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.

Those from Winnfield attending the funeral of Mrs. Pugh were Mr. and Mrs.
Shirley Jackson, Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Jackson and daughter, JoLaine, Mrs.
Dennis Shell and daughter, Fran, Mrs. Maxwell Crowe, Miss Lowice Teddlie, R.
