S. 167. He was apparently a victim of a heart attack. Officials said a motorist following him reported seeing his turn signal on and then the car went across a shallow ditch and stopped against a fence at the Louisiana Department of Highways depot. His death came about 10:20 a.m. while a heavy rainstorm was in progress. Poisso was 50 years old. He was a native of Dodson and operated a service station in Winnfield. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of East Winnfield Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rayford Higgs and Rev. Bert Beams officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Myrtis C. Poisso, Winnfield; a son, Billy Poisso, Winnfield; two daughters, Mrs. Tommy Tinnerello of Monroe and Mrs. John Barlish of Shreveport; his mother, Mrs. Linnie Perkins of Winnfield; a brother, James Poisso of Winnfield; and two grandchildren. Pallbearers were Virgil Tharpe, Woodrow Gough, Dick Ashcroft, Eugene Edmonds, Gary Kyson, and Jack Henderson.
