Charles Pace Dies Feb. 16 From Wounds in Service Sgt. Charles Pace, 28, son of Mrs. C. L. Pace of Alexandria, former resident of Winnfield, was wounded in Germany Feb. 16 and died on Feb. 16, according to information received by the family from the War Department. Before entering service Sgt. Pace was a student at Louisiana College. He is survived by his mother, one sister, Marie, of Alexandria, three brothers, Herbert of Baton Rouge, Claud of Natchitoches, and Dick of Alexandria. He was the nephew of Mrs. C. B. Cole and Mrs. R. S. Walsh, and the step- grandson of Mrs. Lulia Tannehill of Winnfield, and the grandson of J. D. Pace of Shreveport.
