Pace, 85, Former Resident of Winn Dies J. D. Pace, 85 years of age, of Shreveport, former resident of Winnfield, died Monday, Feb. 18, 1946, at 8 a.m. Mr. Pace, who lived in Alexandria for many years prior to his moving to Shreveport in 1935, was prominently connected in the real estate field. Mr. Pace patented several oil equipment inventions that materially aided the oil industry, and was actively engaged in this endeavor. His wife died two years ago and his son, C. L. Pace, well know Alexandrian, died in 1932. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, Feb. 20, 1946, at 10 a.m. at the Osborne Funeral Home, Shreveport, with interment in the family cemetery at Arcadia, La., at 2 p.m. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Mattie Philar, Shreveport; Mrs. Annie Lou Pace Cole, Winnfield; Mrs. Beatrice Pace Berlin, Marksville. A number of grandchildren are among the survivors including the C. B. Cole sons and daughters, Winnfield; Richard Pace, Miss Marie Pace, Lamar Eagles, Alexandria; Mrs. Earl Farmer, Pineville; C. P. Eagles, Winnfield; Herbert Pace, Baton Rouge; Claud Pace, Natchitoches; J. D. Philar, Shreveport, Mrs. Earl Brunson, Kansas City, Mo.
