D. Pace in Shreveport Funeral services for Mrs. J. D. Pace, 83, native of Louisiana and resident of Shreveport for nearly 50 years, were held Thursday, 10 a.m. in Shreveport with the Rev. F. M> Freeman, pastor of Noel Memorial Methodist Church, officiating. Interment was in the Arcadia, La., cemetery. Mrs. Pace died Tuesday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mattie Plilar, 2620 Highland Ave. Mrs. Pace and her husband were born in Louisiana and resided in Winnfield before going to Shreveport. They were well known here where they have visited their daughter, Mrs. C. B. Cole, quite often. On Nov. 1, 1943, Mr. and Mrs. Pace celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary at their home. Surviving are her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Plilar, Mrs. Ann Lou Cole of Winnfield and Mrs. Beatrice Berlin of Marksville; one sister, Mrs. Emma Field of Arcadia; 20 grandchildren, five of whom are in service, and 16 great grandchildren.
