Page, Sr., 59, native and lifelong resident of Winn Parish, died at a Winnfield hospital Saturday, December 22, 1956 after a brief illness. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. W. L. Holcomb officiating. Burial was in the Atlanta Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were Burton Williams, Houston Smith, Clyde DeLoach, John T. DeLoach, Ray Eagles, and Jesse Corley. Mr. Page had been an employee of the Tremont & Gulf Railroad for the past 34 years and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was active in civic and church affairs. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. D. L. Page; two sons, D. L. Page, Jr., Alexandria and Gerald Page, Natchitoches; mother, Mrs. Melissie Page, Winnfieold; three brothers, Wiley Page, Henry Page, both of Winnfield, Stephen Page, Port Arthur, Tex.; two sisters, Mrs. Clara Gray, Atlanta, Mrs. Mary Smith, Marshall, Tex.; and four grandchildren.
