Services Held For Former Alderman Eddie Parker

Services for Eddie Parker of Winnfield were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in First
Baptist Church with Dr. Calvin Phelps and the Rev. Bill Waggoner officiating. 
Burial was in Garden of Memories under direction of Southern.

Parker, 58, died at 10 a.m. Monday, January 16, 1984 in Jackson Parish
Hospital.

He was a member of the Winnfield Quarterback Club, Ducks Unlimited, and the
Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He served on the Winnfield City Council for 16
years and was a member of the board of directors of the Winnfield Co-op.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Parker of Winnfield; two sons, Ronnie Parker
of Lafayette and Danny Parker of Winnfield; one daughter, Penny Shelton of
Winnfield; his mother, Mrs. A. M. Parker of Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs.
Harold Bradshaw of Monroe, Bobbie Johnston of Shreveport, and Mrs. L. L.
Brewton, Jr. of Winnfield, and five grandchildren.
