Bill Waggoner officiating. Burial was in Garden of Memories under direction of Southern. Parker, 58, died at 10 a.m. Monday, January 16, 1984 in Jackson Parish Hospital. He was a member of the Winnfield Quarterback Club, Ducks Unlimited, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He served on the Winnfield City Council for 16 years and was a member of the board of directors of the Winnfield Co-op. Survivors include his wife, Mary Parker of Winnfield; two sons, Ronnie Parker of Lafayette and Danny Parker of Winnfield; one daughter, Penny Shelton of Winnfield; his mother, Mrs. A. M. Parker of Winnfield; three sisters, Mrs. Harold Bradshaw of Monroe, Bobbie Johnston of Shreveport, and Mrs. L. L. Brewton, Jr. of Winnfield, and five grandchildren.
