Last Rites Held For Rush Aliene Parker In Sikes


Funeral services for Rush Ailene Parker, 3 years, 10 months, and 8 days
of age, who died October 24, 1948, in a Urania clinic, were held at the Sikes
Baptist Church Tuesday of last week, with the Rev. Aubrey Boswell of Pineville
in charge.  Interment was in the Sikes cemetery.

The deceased was born in Winn Parish December 16, 1948.

She leaves her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rush D. Parker; a sister, Norman Lynn, of
Urania; her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Newsom and Mrs. and Mrs. M. B.
Parker of Sikes; four uncles and one aunt, and a host of relatives and
friends.

A number of out of town relatives and friends attended the last rites.

Pallbearers were Faye and Ray Gregory, Jimmie Parker, and Bobby Parker.
