Howard Pardue, Jr., 12, Dies; Rites Saturday

Howard William Pardue, Jr., 12, of Winnfield died Thursday, April 18, 1974 at
12:15 p.m. in a local hospital.

He was a sixth grade student at the Eastside School.

Funeral services were held at the Laurel Heights Baptist Church at 2 p.m.
Saturday with the Rev. Charles Haley, Rev. Calvin Phelps, and the Rev. Jimmy
Yocum officiating.  Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery on the 
Natchitoches Highway under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of 
Winnfield.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard W. Pardue, Sr. of
Winnfield; a brother, Dennis Pardue of Winnfield; one sister, Stacy Pardue of
Winnfield; maternal grandmother and step-grandfather, Mr. and Mrs. Evan
Hammett of Jonesboro; maternal grandfather, Iris Austin of Monroe; paternal
great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Nim Willis of Clarks.
