B. Parker, 70, who died of a heart attack at his office in Sikes on July 18, were conducted at the Sikes Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday with Rev. Homer Coleman officiating. Born on November 1, 1875 at Sikes, Dr. Parker was a practicing physician at Sikes for the past 40 years. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Nancy Erskins Parker, of Sikes; one son, Allen B. Parker of Sikes; six daughters, Mrs. Lena Emmons, Sikes; Misses Geneva Rose and Nell Parker, Shreveport; Mrs. Irma McGlocklin of Dallas, Tex., and Mrs. Everette Moore of Denver, Colo; five brothers, George, M. B., Horace, Jessie, and Ross Parker, all of Sikes; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Thompson, Mrs. Nancy Crain, Mrs. Roy Beavers, and Mrs. Eugene Smith, all of Sikes; five grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
