W. Parker of Sikes, Feb. 7 Funeral Services Held At Mineral Springs Church H. W. Parker, age 46 years, 7 months, and 1 day, of Sikes, died at the Veterans Hospital, Pineville, February 7, following an illness of six months. Funeral services were held at the Mineral Springs Church with the Rev. W. S. Emmons officiating. Interment was in the Mineral Springs Cemetery. The American Legion had charge of the services at the grave. Mr. Parker was born and reared in the Mineral Springs Community, the son of Rev. and Mrs. Jesse Parker. He was a farmer, a member of the Baptist Church, and a member of the American Legion. Besides his parents, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ella Gregory Parker, and one son, Leonard; four sisters, Mrs. Nancy Crain, Mrs. Mary Thompson, Mrs. Maggie Smith, and Mrs. Roy Beavers, all of Sikes; seven brothers, Bill, George, Horace, Jesse, Ross, Miron, and Dr. J. B. Parker, all of Sikes.
