Final Rites Held For Ruben Parker At Harmony Grove

Ruben A. Parker, 75, of Route One, Dodson, died in a Winnfield hospital
September 3, 1959, after a long illness.  A native of Winn, he was a retired
farmer and spent most of his life in the Fellowship community.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. September 4 at the Southern Funeral Home
chapel with Dr. W. L. Holcomb officiating.

Burial was in the Harmony Grove Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Clio Adams,
Woodrow Adams, Marshall Parker, Donnis Parker, Homer Smith, and Bolen Corkern.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Myra Parker, Dodson; three sons, Talmadge of
Shreveport; Homer Parker of Winnfield; Rev. Clyde Parker of Dodson; two
daughters, Mrs. Ora DeLoach and Mrs. Grayson Emmons, both of Shreveport; two
brothers, Lewis and Ruel Parker, both of Dodson and three sisters, Mrs. John
Parker of Rayville; Mrs. Louisa Tullos, Bossier City and Mrs. Preston Sawyer
of Bossier City; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
