B. Parker, 92, Succumbs; Rites Held October 21 Simeon B. Parker, 92, of Winnfield died Sunday, October 26, 1968 in a local hospital. A native of Arkansas, Mr. Parker, having worked 40 years, was a retired L & A, KCS, railroad man. He was a member of the Laurel Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services were conducted Monday at 10 a.m. in the home with Rev. C. C. Martin officiating, assisted by Rev. D. G. Boyett. Interment, under the direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, was in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Survivors include his widow, two sons, B. F. Parker of Louisville, Ky., and S. W. Parker of Shreveport; two daughters, Mrs. Helen Williams of Greenville, Texas, and Mrs. Clarence Bates of Winnfield; one brother, Vince Parker of Stamps, Arkansas; 20 grandchildren including Rev. Daniel Blake, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Jena, and 16 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Tommy Williams, Simeon Williams, Joe Williams, Dale Bates, Sam Parker, Jr., and Bert Parker, all grandsons of the deceased.
