Final Rites Held For LeRoy Parker At Mineral Springs

Final rites were held for Le Roy Parker, 16, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hardie Parker
of Sikes, at Mineral Springs, Wednesday, August 10th.  Services were conducted
by W. S. Emmons, Sr.

The Parker youth died Tuesday at a Shreveport hospital from an appendicitis
attack.  Interment was made in the Mineral Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers, all cousins of the deceased, were Alvis Parker, Maurice Parker,
Marshal Parker, Sharon Parker, Travis Parker, Hyman Beavers.

Surviving the deceased are his father and mother, one brother, Leonard; and
his grandfather and grandmother, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Gregory.  Numerous other
relatives mourn his passing.
