B. Parker, 87, Succumbs; Rites Saturday Mrs. S. B. Parker, 87, of Winnfield, died Friday, November 13, 1970 in Celeste, Texas, after a short illness. She was the widow of the late S. B. Parker, longtime employee of the L & A Railroad and was a member of the Laurel Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Winnfield with the Rev. C. C. Martin officiating, assisted by the Rev. B. L. White and Rev. D. G. Boyett. Burial was in the Garden of Memories. Survivors include two sons, S. W. Parker of Shreveport and Dr. B. F. Parker of Louisville, Ky.; two daughters, Mrs. T. J. Williams of Celeste, Tex., and Mrs. C. D. Bates of Winnfield; 21 grandchildren, one of whom is Rev. Dan Blake, son of the late Eunice Parker Blake of Arkadelphia, Ark., and a number of great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Sam Parker, Jr., John Burton Parker, Simeon Burton Williams, Joe Williams, Dell Bates, Tom Paul Bates, all grandsons of the deceased.
