A native of Sikes, Mr. Parker had been Postmaster at Sikes for a number of years. He was a veteran of World War II and of Korea and a member of the Sikes Baptist Church where he served as deacon. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Sikes Baptist Church with Rev. Willie James, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment, under direction of Southern Funeral Home of Winnfield, will be in the Sikes Cemetery. Survivors included his wife, Mrs. Edna Mae Parker of Sikes; two daughters, Mrs. Sharon Hebert of Ruston, Miss Nan Parker of Sikes, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse J. Parker of Sikes. Five brothers, Marshall Parker of West Monroe, Travis Parker of Grayson, Thomas Parker of Kermit, Texas, Darrow Parker of Winnfield, James R. Parker, Andrews, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. W. K. Dean, Odessa, Texas, Mrs. Maurice Poole of Kansas City, Missouri, Missouri, and one granddaughter.
