Sister of Mrs. R. D. Cantwell Buried At Mt. Zion April 3

Mrs. Carrie Estelle Shumate Payne, 84, died Tuesday at her home on Rt. 2,
Alexandria.  She was the widow of Clement Payne, and was a native of Winn
Parish.

Among her survivors is one sister, Mrs. R. D. Cantwell, of Winnfield.  She
also leaves three sons and two daughters.

Last rites were conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Union Hill Baptist
Church, Winn Parish, near Montgomery, with burial following in Mt. Zion
Cemetery.
