He is survived by his wife, a stepson, five sons, five daughters; four brothers, Joe Parker of Natchitoches, Clarence Parker of Winnfield, Cecil Parker of Derry, and John M. Parker of Magnolia, Ark.; three sisters, Mary P. Floyd of Deville, Cleo P. Derrick of Houston, Texas, and Emma P. Morrison of San Antonio; 29 grandchildren and his mother, Mrs. Nancy Roberts Parker. Final rites were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the Lone Pine Assembly of God Church near Bentley, with burial in the church cemetery. A craftsman by trade, Mr. Parker started making chairs for the market in Flatwoods. He moved to Hudson Creek and started a small factory in 1953. Soon, he was shipping chairs and other furniture throughout the southern state area. His specialty was old fashioned cowhide bottom rocking chairs.
