John Clayton Peavy, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Leighton Peavy of
Joyce, died Saturday, March 1, 1980 in LSU Medical Center in
Shreveport.

Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Pine Hill Cemetery
near Goldonna.

Survivors in addition to the parents include one sister, Misty Peavy
of Joyce; maternal grandfather, Charley Armstrong of Kelly; maternal
grandmother, Mattie Armstrong of Kelly; paternal grandparents, Mr.
and Mrs. Otis Peavy of Shreveport; and paternal great grandmother,
Mrs. Dona Patton of Joyce.

Allen Pennic Dies Suddenly Thursday At Alexandria
Eli Harrell and Riffie Harrell were called to Alexandria Thursday
morning on account of the death of their brother in law, Allen
Pennic, who died in a hospital there about four o'clock.
Funeral arrangements had not been announced Thursday afternoon.
Mrs. Pennic will be remembered at the former Miss Lizzie Lee
Harrell, daughter of the late Eli Harrell.
Mr. Pennic is a native of Springfield, Ill., but for the past
several years he and Mrs. Pennic had resided at Krotz Springs,
where he was engaged in the timber business. Mr. and Mrs. Pennic
visited their family here Wednesday.
