He was a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of Winn Parish. Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Gansville Baptist Church with the Rev. L. G. Shaw and the Rev. Kenneth Wall officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were Henry Kornegay, D. E. Gaar, Henry Allen Kornegay, Edward House, Joy Marshall, J. W. Marshall, J. W. Harper, Ralph McNabb, and Richard Scott. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ada Peddy Pennington of Dodson; one son, Louie Pennington, Jr., of Winnfield; two daughters, Mrs. Henry Kornegay of Dodson and Mrs. D. E. Gaar of Monroe; three brothers, Dallas Pennington, Walter Pennington, and D. C. Pennington, all of Goldonna; two sisters, Miss Lilah Pennington of Goldonna and Mrs. Carrie Bogan of Alma, Ark.; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
