Winn Native Dies In Shreveport

Jake S. Pendarvis, 57, of Baton Rouge, died at 3:45 a.m. Friday, March 21,
1975 in the VA Hospital in Shreveport after a short illness.  He was a native
of Winn Parish.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ella Mae Pendarvis of Baton Rouge, four sons,
Ira Dane Pendarvis and Jake R. Pendarvis, both of Huachych, Ariz., Michael
Pendarvis and Kenneth Pendarvis, both of Baton Rouge; three daughters, Mrs.
Sherre Chenevert and Mrs. Peggy Fike, both of Baton Rouge, and Mrs. Gayle
Kitterlin of Shreveport; one brother, Ira Dane Pendarvis of Tullos, two
sisters, Mrs. Eunice Jordan of Tullos and Mrs. Pearl Tabor of Pineville; and
two grandchildren.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Baptist Church with Revs.
Charles Christie and Douglas Burnley officiating.  Burial was in the church
cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral  Home of Winnfield.
