She died Wednesday following an illness of about six months. Rev. Calhoun conducted the funeral in Hebron Baptist Church, of which she was a member. Burial was under direction of southern Funeral Home. She is survived by her husband, J. A. Pepper, five sons, Alvin, Odis, Cecil, all of Sikes; Luther, of Bastrop; and James, of Mound; three daughters, Mrs. Lettie McNaughton, of Olla; Mrs. Virgie Cox, of Sikes; Mrs. Lettie Mae Richards, of Bastrop; 13 grandchildren; three brothers, Arthur Smith of Sikes, Julius Smith of Winnfield, and Grover Smith of Pineville. Pallbearers were Lavelle Pepper, Joseph Pepper, Doyle Pepper, Floyd Smith, Ray Smith, and Alon Smith.
