E. Pepper Last Week Funeral services for Mrs. M. S. Elizabeth Pepper, 79, who died Tuesday, February 24, were held in Jonesboro last Thursday. She died at the home of her daughter in Ruston. Rites were conducted in the Jonesboro Baptist Church with Rev. J. W. Buckner officiating. Burial followed in Transport Cemetery north of Dodson, under direction of Edmonds Funeral Home. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. W. H. McLaurin, and Mrs. A. A. Breeden of Baton Rouge; one son, Adley Pepper of Haughton; one sister, Mrs. Lula Emmons of Dodson; two brothers, T. L. Walker of Jonesboro and Judge E. L. Walker of Ruston. She was the widow of the late Josh Pepper of Jackson. Pallbearers were L. C. Blake, J. B. Fain, H. P. Melton, H. P. McBride, W. T. Tolar, and A. M. Vail.
