Funeral services were held at the Hebron Baptist Church at 2 p.m. September 5. A native of Sikes, Mr. Pepper had been an employee of the highway department and later was engaged in the timber business. He was a member of the Hebron Church. Surviving are his wife, of Sikes; a son, Chester, and two daughters, all of Shreveport; three sisters, Mrs. Carrie Crain, Sikes, Mrs. Martha Ann Mayes and Miss Nancy Peppers, of Grayson; three brothers, Edwin and Kinderd of Sikes; and an older brother in Winnsboro.
