E. Perdue, 81, Succumbs After Lengthy Illness Funeral services for E. E. Perdue, 81, of Laurel Heights, Winnfield, were held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the Assembly of God Church with the Rev. S. E. Lum, Rev. Willie James, and Rev. Edgar Gunter officiating. Burial was in the Garden of Memories Cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home. Acting as pallbearers were Homer Jordan, Iuria Fogger, D. M. Howell, Jr., Melvin James, Roy James, and H. D. Jordan. Mr. Perdue died at his home in Laurel Heights Saturday after a lengthy illness. He was a native of El Dorado, Ark., but had resided here for many years where he had reared his family. He is survived by his wife, of Winnfield; four sons, J. C. Perdue, Shreveport; J. B. Perdue, Huttig, Ark., V. H. Perdue, Minden, and C. R. Perdue, Winnfield; a daughter, Mrd. Edward Mixon of Hebert; a brother, J. W. Perdue, Winnfield; 18 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
