Peterson Killed In Selman Plane Crash Sun. Pvt. Curtis Deloy Peterson, about 22 years of age, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ebon N. Peterson of Rt. 1, Goldonna, La., was one of the five men killed in the crash of an AY-7 training plane near Montgomery, Texas, late Sunday night. The plane was on a routine flight from Selman Field, Monroe, La., at the time of the accident. Pvt. Peterson's body was expected to arrive in Jonesboro Thursday afternoon, after which time funeral arrangements were to be made. The Edmonds Funeral Home of Jonesboro will convey the deceased to his home near Goldonna, and burial will be made sometimes this weekend at the Antioch Cemetery in Ward 10. Pvt. Peterson was a graduate of the Calvin High School. He spent several years of service in the CCC at the camp near Calvin and on the West Coast. About a year ago he joined the Army Air Corps and received his training with the 666th School Squadron, navigation school at Selman Field, Monroe, La., where he was stationed at the time of his death. Nephew of Local Resident Also Victim Another victim of the same crash was 2nd Lt. Benjamin F. McClure, nephew of Mr. and Mrs. J. K. McClure of Winnfield, who is the son of Mrs. Ruth C. Horton of Houston, Texas.
