T. Wallace here last Friday evening. She was in her 78th year and had been ill for several months when death came to relieve her. She came to this country from Mississippi in the early forties, settling with her family in the eastern portion of Winn parish. She was the widow of William Peters, who died about five years ago. She leaves five sons and three daughters, as follows: Dr. J. J., W. S., A. S., J. M., and I. Peters; Mrs. J. T. Wallace, Mrs. J. T. Fox and Widow J. E. Jenkins. Her last remains were laid to rest on Saturday in the Zion Hill cemet[e]ry in ward seven. Additional Comments: Marina McCarty was a daughter of Amos McCarty and Mary Elizabeth Walker.
