Peters, Native of Sikes, Killed in Crash Capt. James Peters, 30, of Wisner, La., was killed Saturday morning when his training plane crashed near Del Rio, Texas. He was born and reared at Sikes, Winn Parish, and was the nephew of Rev. J. L. Busby of Route Two, Winnfield. Funeral services were conducted at Wisner, Tuesday. Capt. Peters was a pilot on a B-26, and had made 82 missions over enemy territory in Europe. At the time of his death he was an instructor at Del Rio, Texas. Surviving are his wife, the former Lora Martin of Wisner, a small son, James; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ira B. Peters, Winnsboro; six sisters and three brothers.
