Otis Peterson, 71, Dies; Rites At Yankee Springs

Otis E. Peterson, 71, of Winnfield, died at 12:15 a.m. Friday, March 1, in
an Alexandria hospital.  He was a retired employee of the U. S. Forestry
Service.

He is survived by his wife, Ola Peterson, Winnfield; two sons, William T.
Peterson of Brunswick, Ga., and Otis E. Peterson, Jr. of Baton Rouge; a
daughter, Lola Peterson of Vivian; a brother, Aubrey Peterson of Goldonna.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Yankee Springs Baptist Church
by Rev. D. W. McDaniel and Rev. C. C. Martin.  Burial was in the church
cemetery under direction of Southern Funeral Home.
