Mrs. Peterson Dies; Rites At Yankee Springs

Funeral services for Mrs. Velta Peterson, 64, of Goldonna, were held at 2:30
p.m. Thursday at Yankee Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. W. L. Fussell
officiating.

Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Peterson died Tuesday, January 15, 1974, at the Methodist Hospital in
Houston, Texas, after a short illness.

Survivors include her husband, Aubrey Peterson of Goldonna; three sons,
Douglas Peterson, Bobby Peterson, both of Goldonna, and Donel Peterson of
Saline; two daughters, Mrs. Louise Ross of Jonesboro and Mrs. Nellie Hughes of
Saline; her mother, Mrs. Rinda Stewart of Friendship; two brothers, Dewey
Stewart of Trout and Doyle Stewart of Friendship; three sisters, Mrs. Eunice
Malone of Winnfield, Mrs. Carmie Pratt of Friendship, and Mrs. Delores Nugent
of Trout; eight grandchildren and one great grandchildren.
